Possible Change in Meeting Date

Hi, everyone!

On Monday, February 22, we are inviting a number of book publishers and teachers who use standards-based curricula to the Broyhill to join us for part of our Professional Development day with TAN teachers.  We would like to ask if the PLC group would like for us to extend their visit through 6:00 so that we can have our PLC meeting at the Broyhill.  This would give you an opportunity to talk with your book rep, see samples of books and materials, and talk with other districts about the textbooks they are selecting.  If you can email me pretty soon to let me know your thoughts, I would appreciate it.  I am working on the agenda now, and I'll share it soon.  If you do think this is a good idea, you might want to bring someone from your central office or another teacher with you to join in the discussion.  We can figure out the logistics soon.

I would be very interested in meeting with the text book companies. We are having trouble even getting samples sent to the school.

I think it is a great idea as well. I may not be able to be there but I will see if Rose Anna and maybe an admin. could attend.

I like this idea. Now that I've been to our PLC, I wish I was a member of TAN too.

This sounds like a great idea. I plan to attend the TAN meeting on the 22nd and would love to have the PLC meeting on the same day!!
